Bertie’s on the Rec is a community-focused café situated at the Claygate Cricket & Football Club Pavilion within the Claygate Recreation Ground.

Hugh and Sherrill Taggart, alongside Sherrill’s cousin Tracey Younghusband, are the owners who operate the café.

Offerings: Premium coffee, tea, home-cooked food, breakfast items, snacks, delightful ice cream and a wide selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
Capacity: Space for 60 guests indoors, plus a large outdoor terrace overlooking the fields.
Amenities: Fully accessible pavilion with two toilets and baby changing facilities.
